Continuing Education Cancellation Policy.

  • ECC will refund 100% of registration fees for continuing education courses cancelled by ECC, or registrants may choose to apply their registration fees toward an alternative course.

  • ECC encourages all registrants to obtain fully refundable travel and lodging reservations as ECC is not responsible for the cost of travel and/or lodging payments made by participants regardless of cancellation of courses or registration.

  • Registrants may receive a refund of 100% registration fees for registrations cancelled within 24 hours of initial registration.

  • After the initial 24 hour window, registrants are not eligible for a refund of registration fees. However, registrants may choose to forward their registration fees toward the registration of another course provided they give notice of plans not to attend the continuing education program at least 24 hours prior to the start of the course.

  • Any participant who does not provide notice of cancellation 24 hours prior to the course forfeits all registration fees.

  • All cancellations of registration must be made in writing by emailing

ECT Confidentiality and Security Policy.

Empower Counseling & Consulting, LLC will maintain confidential and secure records of all participants of continuing education programs. Records will be maintained for 5 years following the conclusion of the program in a locked filing cabinet behind a locked door. Records will include certificates of completion, attendance records, registration forms, and evaluation forms. All financial and payment information will be maintained in the strictest of confidence and run through a secure website when processed online by the participant.

Grievance Policy.

While Empower Counseling & Consulting, LLC strives to provide high quality continuing education services, we understand that some participants may find the need to file a grievance or complaint regarding one of our programs. Should a participant experience anything that they feel rises to the need for a complaint, they should contact the owner and operator of Empower Counseling & Consulting, LLC, Sarah Cabler, LPC-S. The owner of Empower Counseling & Consulting, LLC will review the complaint, make any necessary decisions, and a response will be given within 5 business days.
