A Look at EMDR: What Can I Expect? | September 20, 2025
This course will introduce clinicians to the eye movement desensitization and Reprocessing model (EMDR). We will discuss populations who can benefit from the use of EMDR strategies, demonstrate the use of the model, and look at opportunites for obtaining further advanced training.
Objectives:
1. Participants will recognize at least 3 common interventions used as a part of the EMDR model.
2. Participants will recognize common uses of EMDR and differentiate situations in which the is model is not an appropriate intervention.
3. Participants will identify and discuss additional elements of training required before being able to utilize the EMDR model and potential routes to obtain additional training.
